Effective October 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Poppy’s Nut Hut collects, uses and protects information when you visit our website, place an order or contact us.
Information we collect
When you place an order, create an account or contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number if you give one, order details, and the contents of any message you send through our contact form.
Cookies and technical data
Our store uses cart and session cookies that are needed for shopping and checkout to work. Like most websites, our systems also record technical and security information such as IP address, browser type and activity logs so we can operate and protect the site.
How we use information
We use your information to process and fulfill orders, arrange shipping or local pickup, calculate taxes, provide customer support, respond to your messages, keep the site secure and keep the business records we need.
Services we use
We rely on outside services to run our store: Elestio for website hosting, PayPal for payment processing, WooCommerce Tax for sales tax calculation, and WooCommerce Shipping for shipping services. These providers receive the information they need to perform their services, and their own privacy terms also apply.
Marketing emails
You may choose to sign up to hear from us about sales, new flavors and early holiday ordering. You can unsubscribe at any time. Placing an order does not automatically add you to our marketing list.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as we need it to operate the store, support customers, resolve disputes, and meet our business and tax record-keeping needs.
Your requests
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information by sending us a request through our Contact page. We will honor requests where we can. If we are unable to complete a request, you may ask us to review that decision.
Safeguards
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services and practices change. The effective date above shows when it was last updated.
